Für »Love Goes« hat Sam eine namentliche Auswahl angesehener Mitwirkender wie Steve Mac (Ed Sheeran, Celine Dion), Shellback/MXM (Robyn, Pink, Britney Spears), Labrinth, Guy Lawrence (Disclosure) und Jimmy Napes gewonnen.

Über das Album sagt Sam: »The last two years has been the most experimental time of my life, personally but also musically. Every time I went into the studio, I promised myself I would shoot for the stars and have no limitations. The result has been so magical and so therapeutic and fun. Listen to these songs with an open heart and treat each song like a different flower from the garden, have fun with them.«

Der Oscar- und mehrfache Grammy-Gewinner veröffentlicht somit bereits das dritte Album, nachdem Sams letztes Album »The Thrill Of It All« 2017 an der Spitze der britischen Albumcharts und der US Billboard 200 landete und das Debütalbum »In the Lonely Hour« von 2014 mit Gold in Deutschland ausgezeichnet wurde.
