Diese Live-Show wurde am 29. November 1979 im Pavillon de Paris aufgezeichnet, als die Band auf Tournee war, um ihr Album »Breakfast In America« vorzustellen. Dieses landete in neun Ländern auf Platz 1, wurde für vier Grammy Awards nominiert und gewann sogar zwei. Auf »Live In Paris ’79« sind die Hit-Singles »The Logical Song«, »Goodbye Stranger«, »Take The Long Way Home« und »Breakfast In America« neben einer Vielzahl weiterer kultiger Supertramp-Songs zu hören.
